Independence Day Celebration 2022

India got complete independence from the British colonial rule 75 years ago. This year India celebrated “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” which means diamond jubilee celebration of Indian independence. “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign aimed to encourage people to bring the Tiranga(tricolor flag) home and hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence.

The students of the Lovedale Foundation celebrated independence day with energy. The chief guest hoisted our national flag in the morning and the people assembled there participated in singing our national anthem with a proud smile.

Students performed various activities that made us remember the struggle and sacrifice of our freedom fighters. The day was colorful as we could see many national flags hoisted. Students were dressed to resemble our freedom fighters along with their powerful slogans. Other singing and drama competitions based on freedom fighters were conducted.

The ground was filled with local people from the surrounding villages who came to witness the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrated at the Banyan school which is supported by the Lovedale Foundation one of the best NGOs in India. The cultural activities related to the nation create an awareness in the people and give a strong message for our diversification and unity.

India is blessed to have a wide range of cultures, food, arts, languages, etc from its different states that beautify and unite 1.4 billion citizens. We have a long history since the start of civilization on Earth. With the rapid advancement in technology, we are heading towards the title of superpower country that will play a major role in the development of society through economy and employment.
